The first marathon race held in Los Angeles was in the summer of 1984, the year the city hosted the Olympic Games. In 1986, inspired by the success of the event, the City of Los Angeles decided to host an annual road marathon which has grown into one of the largest in the US.
The strapline for this race is 'From the Stadium to the Sea' as the course takes runners from inland at the amour Dodger Stadium at Echo Park to the beach at Santa Monica.
The course winds through some of the neighbourhoods whose names are instantly recognisable from film and TV (Downtown LA, Silver Lake, Hollywood, Beverley Hills), past some of the famous (and infamous) landmarks (Chateau Marmont, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Capitol Records, Pacific Ferris Wheel).
If you have completed the Los Angeles Marathon, celebrate your achievement with this stunning personalised race print. In addition to showcasing the landmarks, we've used the colour palette to evoke the laid back glamour of this iconic city.
Simply add your (or someone else's) name, finish time and the year you ran and we will take care of the rest.
